DRIVE THROUGH THE LIGHTS

The Symphony of Lights has been a time-honored Howard County holiday tradition set in historic Merriweather Post Pavilion. Made up of more than 300,000 bulbs, this family-oriented spectacular is a dazzling display of larger-than-life animated and stationary holiday light creations. A portion of proceeds from this event benefit the Howard County General Hospital.

Howard County Living Farm Heritage Museum: 12985 Frederick Rd, West Friendship, 21794

Come by and check out a part of local history!! Stop by the Hebb House between 12pm-3pm to view our holiday train garden, enjoy some light refreshments, and take a tour through The Museum. Step back in time to see how our community used to live. Fun for the whole family!! Free admission
MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET - HAMPDEN LIGHTS - OPENING NIGHT

One of Baltimore's most-popular annual events, Miracle on 34th Street / Hampden Lights, kicks off Saturday, November 30 and runs through December 31. Inflatable snowglobes, musical trains and blinking angels adorn homes. A few even allow visitors to peek inside. Lights are on every night from Thanksgiving weekend to January 1, including Christmas Eve.

Kids night is an action packed evening of fun. Children will participate in tumbling, games, relays, obstacle courses and other fitness based activities. Friday night has never been so much fun! Our December Kids Night will have a Polar Express theme. Pizza will be served.

ICE AND FIRE: A WINTER WONDERLAND

Join us for an enchanted stroll and witness the magic as the Ice Fairy transforms Symphony Woods into an illuminated Winter Wonderland. Bring the whole family to witness the magic of the Ice and Fire Festival as we raise money for FREE community arts programming, Community Action Council of Howard County (including the Howard County Food Bank), and additional non-profits on select nights. Stroll through the Light Forest, get lost in the Light Maze, and be enthralled by the Ice Fairy and her friends as they transform Symphony Woods into a Winter Wonderland. Wander towards the Chrysalis where you will find a lighted dragon, fire pits, and a make your own s'mores station (additional purchase required). Visit Santa on the Chrysalis stage. Meet a variety of visitors from the fairy (and other) realms. Marvel at the 30 foot Tree of Light. Please note that this is a walking event over a variety of surfaces including paved paths, mulch, grass, and gravel.

The Hotel's fifth floor Harbor Terrace will transform into a 1,800 square foot synthetic ice skating rink boasting expansive views of both the historic Inner Harbor and city skyline. The rink will be filled with holiday sights and sounds featuring hundreds of twinkling lights, festive holiday decor and lively music. Guests can also warm up with holiday favorites, including rich, decadent European style hot chocolate topped with house made flavored marshmallows and hot toddies.
