LIL STARS ASTRONOMY PROGRAM

Robinson Nature Center
Saturday, February 22 | 10am, 11am | $4 with admission | 3-8 years
Let your little one discover outer space through the views of the stars and planets, stories, crafts or song. Give your child a special nighttime experience during the day! Programs focus on a different theme each month- from colors of stars, to the stories of the constellations, to the seasonal changes in the sky. All children must be accompanied by a ticketed adults. Preregister to secure your seats. No late seating.

A HOME FOR WARM, FUZZY AND PRICKLY

Robinson Nature Center
Sunday, February 23 | 1pm, 2pm, 3pm | $10 child, $5 adult | 3 years+
Come join us for an incredible day in collaboration with animal rescue organizations, Friends of Rabbits and Other World Exotics. Investigate where animals go in the winter as we re-enact a winter classic, “The Mitten,” through an engaging puppet show. Search for mittens and signs of wildlife along the Center’s wooded trails. Meet amazing rabbits and hedgehogs, just like those featured in the story. All these animals are looking for good homes!

OREGON RIDGE NATURE CENTER EXPLORE

Oregon Ridge Nature Center

Each winter we head up to the Oregon Ridge Nature Center to check out their cozy exhibit space, and if the weather cooperates, take a walk in the woods and check out their nature play space. Please note: Before each family's FIRST event with CFIN the online registration/waiver form must be completed.

DESSERT & WINE PAIRING

Do you love dessert? Do you love wine? If you answered yes to both questions, then we think you should try experiencing the wide world of dessert wine. Dessert wine is our JAM! When paired correctly it will enhance and change the dessert in ways which make both extremely enjoyable. In this class we will be joined by Certified Executive Pastry Chef Maria Bell on a guided pairing of desserts and dessert wines.

VALENTINE’S DAY TRUFFLE-MAKING & WINE

Saturday, February 15 | 1-3pm, 4-6pm | $27 per person | 21+
Join us for a unique way to celebrate Valentine's Day! Bring a friend, your sweetheart , or treat yourself to learning the art of hand-rolling delectable chocolate truffles. Discover more about the plant from which chocolate is made. Enjoy tasting 6 wines from Linganore Vineyards and learn about their grapes, vineyard and sustainable practices. Leave with 10 hand-rolled truffles. Special thanks to our partner, Whole Foods, for their help making this event a success. Please bring identification that proves your age.

BROOKS SPORTS BRA TEST RUN

Charm City Run - Columbia
Sunday February 22  | 8-10am | Free 
Try the new line of Brooks sports bras for yourself! This is your opportunity to be properly fit for a sports bra and then wear test on the run. Brooks just released an entirely new collection of sports bras that feature more breathable materials, supportive but lightweight designs and flattering styles. This is your chance to win them a go! We will start running as a group from Charm City Run Columbia at 8:00am. Please arrive early to be fit for a run bra and find your size. The run will be 3 miles around Lake Elkhorn and is open to all levels and paces. Walkers and strollers welcome! After you finish running, warm up with a hot chocolate bar at the store while your shop. Brooks will provide a gift with sports bra purchase.
