Visit ShadowLand in Columbia on Fridays from 6pm to midnight for "Fab Friday Happy Hours" when a laser adventure is just $6 per person! Strap on a high-tech suit and phaser, step into the HUGE multi-level arena with its specialty fog, lighting and sounds, and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime! A new adventure starts every 20 minutes. Up to 40 participants can take part at the same time. Ideal for individuals, families, and groups small or large. Bus tours welcome. Pizza is available during Happy Hours for just $1 a slice. And the winner of each adventure gets a chance to win two free adventures with our unique, "Shoot to Thrill" game. Take one shot with your phaser and see if you can hit the mark for free adventure passes.

Treat your family to unique shows at the Robinson Nature Center’s Nature Sphere planetarium. Each program features a full-dome movie preceded by a family-friendly planetarium presentation. The full-dome movie for March is Dinosaurs Alive! Tickets are $3 per person with Robinson annual pass or general admission. Please arrive 15 minutes early to be seated. SCOPE OUT THE NIGHT SKY

Robinson Nature Center and the Howard Astronomical League present this exciting, family-focused astronomy event with support from the Astronomical Society of the Pacific! Enjoy a planetarium program, build your very own Galileoscope (a functional telescope for night sky viewing), hold a meteorite, observe the surface of the moon and other space objects on a “Magic Planet,” and view celestial objects in the sky using various telescopes with the help of knowledgeable guides. Each family takes home one Galileoscope. All participants receive a star map. Click here to purchase tickets online.

Treat your partner or friends to a unique Friday night experience of top notch astronomy and entertainment at the Robinson Nature Center. This program is held in the Naturesphere planetarium and features the full-dome movie Impact! preceded by an adult-level planetarium presentation about current happenings in our night sky and space science. FIRST FRIDAYS AT MANOR HILL

On the First Friday of every month at 4 pm. Limited release cans will be available at the Manor Hill Brewing Tap Room. Beers will vary from month to month and will be sold exclusively at the taproom throughout the weekend during regular Tap Room Hours (while supplies last). Reservations are not required for to go only sales, but you should make one if you plan to hang out and/ or sample. WINE CLASS: WHAT IS A BLENC?

Blends are all the rage now whether white, rose or red. Each grape variety that’s added to a wine blend contributes a special attribute, which combines to create a perfectly well-rounded, rich and smooth tasting wine. Wines from Bordeaux and Champagne are world-renowned for their exceptional wine blends. In this class we will learn about the blending process and taste many of the classic blends from all over the world. More info here.

Bourbon purists will tell you that adding even a drop of water will ruin the whiskey’s flavor, but that’s just one of the many myths surrounding the spirit. In fact, there are an array of delicious classic and modern cocktails that call for bourbon. We have all heard of the manhattan and the old fashioned, sop this class is designed to show Bourbons range as a perfect cocktail companion. Each class features at least 3 craft cocktails built around a unique spirit or liquor. Learn tips and techniques along with a little history: this is a great way to start building a craft spirit bar! AFTERNOON ENGLISH TEA

WINE GLASS PAINTING CLASS

In this 1.5 hour class, you will hand paint a design on a wine glass guided by an instructor from Le Painted Grape. All painting supplies and wine glass included. Wine, drinks, and food available for extra purchase from venue. No outside food or drink.
